The bachelor thesis deals with the design of the marketing strategy of the compa-ny entering the microcredit market. In the literary research there is introduced the issue of microcredit and used analyses. The practical part includes evaluation of microcredit market in Czech Republic among non-banking companies on the basis of analyses from literary research, including identification of target groups based on own questionnaire survey. The main objective is to propose an optimal marketing strategy based on results, which will lead to the creation of a customer base and customer satisfaction.

The first chapter provides a comprehensive overview of microfinance academic literature with emphasis on recent innovations, trends and efficiency. In particular, we focus on controversial issues of microfinance, such as commercialization, regulation, interest rate policy and the balance between outreach and performance of MFIs. The next chapter especially investigates the role of public expenditures and general government debt in microfinance performance in Latin America and the Caribbean. Microfinance institutions finance their business activities primary with clients' deposits, equity or with external funding. The aim of the third chapter is to verify whether the external funding, macroeconomic development and the size of banking sector have some impact on a microfinance performance. This study investigates, as well, the possible reasons why many microfinance institutions have gradually experienced a decrease in the share of female borrowers in their portfolios over the last few years. The final chapter is focused on the impact of macroeconomic environment and internal variables of the microfinance sector on microfinance interest rates.

Ostrá, E. The use of the principle of microfinance in the Czech Republic. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2015 This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of microfinance and the possibilities of using the principles in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis outlines the general principles of microfinance and how they have been successfully applied in other parts of the world. The next section evaluates the situation of disadvantaged sections of Czech society, particularly in relation to the employment market. The practical section focuses on the proposal of a pilot project, the aim of which is to assess whether micro-financing methods from developing countries can be successfully applied in the Czech Republic. In the principle, the main purpose of the pilot project would be to provide microloans to start-up businesses to generate more work opportunities for disadvantaged groups, and thus promote greater social inclusion and cohesion. Finally, the thesis concludes with a discussion of the suitability of implementing a microfinance pro-gram within the Czech Republic.
Postconflict Reconstruction in Afghanistan and Contribution of Microfinance

Despite the huge financial contribution of the international community the postconflict reconstruction in Afghanistan does not proceed within the initial expectations. Due to unstable situation, high level of corruption and inefficient state administration, the help does not flow to the ones, whom it is determined in the first place - the poorest habitants of the country. In this context the microfinance, resp. the microcredits, seem to be the right complementary tool of economic reconstruction as they provide the poorest with the access to the financial resources. The aim of this thesis is to assess, if Afganistan meets pre-defined conditions of a successful implementation of microfinance by using fundamental knowledge of postconflict reconstruction and possible contribution of microfinance.
Microfinance in the EU

This work deals with microfinance in the EU. It explains the relationship among the EU instruments, programmes and initiatives, and it brings the most important information about all available products for both potential providers and potential clients. The work focuses mainly on the European Progress Microfinance Facility and its supporting products. It also contains brief historic development of microfinance, information about financing of microcredits in the EU, real life examples and critics of microfinance.
Dreams and Present Reality of Microfinance

Microcredit is now regarded as one of the most effective weapons in the fight against the poverty. The word "microfinance" itself became worldwide known in 2006, when both Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank were awarded the Nobel Piece Prize. The thesis aims to provide a complex picture of the microfinance pioneer Muhammad Yunus, the emergence of modern microfinance as well as different approaches to microfinance. These subtasks are used to fulfill the main goal of this work - to acquaint a reader with the main differences between the original concept of microfinance and its present practice.
Providing of development assistance trough microcredits

The objective of this bachelor's thesis is microfinance in the developing world. The goal was to determine whether microfinance is viable alternative to development assistance. First part of the thesis is concerned with analyzing developing countries and is trying to explain reasons behind their low performance. Next is a description of different versions of the development assistance. The main part of the thesis is focused on the history of microfinance, the main principles of their functioning and explaining the process of the provision of microcredit. It shows what are the benefits of microfinance for their users, but also criticizes microfinance. A closer look at microfinance in practice is demonstrated in an example of the Bangladeshi Grameen Bank, the oldest microfinance institution in the world. In this part, two lending programs and their rules are described: Grameen I and Grameen II.
Microcredits: development and current practice

The thesis focuses on the origin and development of microcredits. In the first chapter, origin of the microcredit as a new bank product in Bangladesh is described. Further on, the most important differences between a microcredit and other credits are analyzed. A description of institutions that provide microcredits, their regulation, risk management and other microfinance products is done. The thesis also pays attention to the influence which the product has on human society. In the last chapter, development of microcredits in economically advanced countries is described.

This work deals with the fight against poverty using microcredit and attempts to explain the principles of social business. It describes the concept of microfinance and its history and offers examples of microfinance institutions operating in Mexico and Bangladesh and their comparison. The dark side of microcredit (i.e. dowry and violence) concludes this paper. It is based on books by Professor Yunus and data concerning the microfinance institutions of Mexico and Bangladesh provided by the MIX Market platform.

This diploma thesis focuses on microfinance, it's basic characteristics and general principles of it's function. It introduces microfinance approaches, development of microfinance, microfinancial services and microfinance providers. Two largest microfinance institutions in Bangladesh, Grameen bank a BRAC, illustrate how microfinance works, helps to empower the poor and reduces their poverty in one of the poorest countries in the world.
